Diehl Aviation expands operations in Dubai

Diehl Aviation and STS Aviation Services at MRO ME in Dubai
Diehl Aviation has officially opened its new facility in the Dubai Airport Freezone – a 1,100 square meter area in the logistics hub of the airport's free trade zone. Diehl is now able to carry out the final assembly, finishing, rework and delivery of certain cabin components onsite. As an EASA Part 21G manufacturing company, Diehl Aviation has the necessary aviation approvals and can certify the products itself onsite, the February 11 press release said.
The facility features specialized areas including production lines, rework workstations, a spare parts warehouse and offices. Many of these services will be carried out by Diehl’s local partner company STS Aviation Services.
Initially, the facility will mainly complete components for lavatories and sidewall panels for the A380 aircraft family. Services for more aircraft families will be added based on demand. The newly acquired capacity is set to enable Diehl Aviation to provide its local customers with significantly faster and more customized services. The company is currently exploring opportunities to expand its local presence – especially the allocation of EASA Part 145 repair capability in Dubai.
“The allocation of production capacity together with our local partner STS Aviation Services marks a significant milestone in our strategic expansion,” said Seraj Mazidi, Head of Diehl Aviation Middle East. “By combining Diehl’s expertise in cabin components with STS’s maintenance capabilities, we are setting new standards for service delivery and support in the Middle East.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Diehl Aviation to expand our footprint in Dubai,” said Rod Willits, VP and GM of STS Aviation Services Middle East. “This collaboration allows us to provide unmatched aviation solutions and reinforces our commitment to excellence in the region.”
Diehl Aviation first established its own representative office in Dubai in 2020. The cooperation between Diehl Aviation and STS Aviation Services combines Diehl’s cabin component expertise with STS’s comprehensive maintenance and refurbishment services.
