aviationscouts joins Aerotec Europe Holding GmbH and acquires B2L GmbH & Co. KG

Aerotec Europe acquires aviationscouts 

aviationscouts GmbH (aviationscouts) has announced its acquisition by Aerotec Europe Holding GmbH (AES). Effective June 11, 2024, aviationscouts will officially become part of the AES group, a subsidiary of Borromin Capital Fund IV.

Thomas Bulirsch, founder and CEO of aviationscouts, will continue to lead the company and remain as CEO.

“This acquisition is a significant step for aviationscouts. Integration into the Aerotec / AES group allows us to expand our service portfolio and strengthen our market position. I look forward to continuing as CEO and actively shaping the growth strategy of aviationscouts,” Bulirsch said.

Aerotec Europe Holding GmbH, which includes its subsidiary Airplane Equipment & Services A.E.S. GmbH, was acquired by Borromin Capital Fonds IV in September 2022. Borromin aims to expand the company through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

“The acquisition of aviationscouts is an ideal addition to our portfolio and particularly strengthens our activities in aircraft cabin refurbishment. Through this acquisition, we are solidifying our market position as a significant player in the circular economy for used aircraft components and spare parts,” said Martin Franke, Partner at Borromin.

As part of this transaction, aviationscouts GmbH will also acquire 100 percent of the shares in B2L GmbH & Co. KG., the June 19 press release said.

B2L specializes in the upcycling of used aircraft parts and accessories. The company has successfully grown from a startup to a leading provider in the DACH region in recent years. Under the leadership of Aerotec Europe Holding GmbH, both companies aim for a sustainable further development of their business model and an expansion of their global presence.
