WAMOS Air selects Cobalt Spectrum mood lighting from IFPL
IFPL Group, parent company to Cobalt Aerospace, has announced that its Cobalt Spectrum drop-in LED mood lighting system has been chosen for WAMOS Air’s A330-200 and A330-300 cabin refresh program. The Cobalt Spectrum lighting system is designed to meet the needs of commercial airlines, a direct replacement for fluorescent tubes, and is currently flying with multiple carriers worldwide, the February 22 press release said.
Cobalt Spectrum will illuminate the interior of each aircraft with the WAMOS brand colours, together with additional light settings throughout the flight for boarding, sleeping and meal times.
The mood lighting system is designed to be lightweight and long-lasting, offering operators weight and fuel savings while requiring no changes to the aircraft wiring.
“WAMOS Air made the decision to go with the Cobalt Spectrum lighting after seeing the advanced technology demonstrated at MRO-Europe ’23 in Amsterdam. They got a real touch and feel experience with our unique push button wireless control panel while physically seeing dynamic colour changes for the varying phases of flight. And all within a simulated cabin environment setting,” said Tommy Nelms, VP, Global Sales for Cobalt Inc.
“This is one of many large Cobalt Spectrum installations which we have worked on recently and very thrilled to welcome WAMOS Air to our growing list of airline partners. Having our own DOA has been crucial to ensuring we deliver our products promptly, and to the meticulous quality standard our customers expect.”
CEO, Wamos Air S.A., Enrique Saiz said, “The Cobalt Spectrum lighting system is one of the company's strategies to further enhance onboard comfort. The results of this lighting system on the aircraft are truly remarkable. This implementation is part of our ongoing fleet interior renewal and enhancement plan.
