New ‘Exclusive Waiting Area’ opens at Vienna Airport

By Tanya Filippelli

German airline carrier airberlin and its subsidiary airline company NIKI Luftfahrt have opened a new ‘Exclusive Waiting Area’ at Vienna International Airport, the first to be opened outside of Germany.

“A high level of comfort for our flight guests is our priority. Thanks to the new waiting area, airberlin and NIKI travellers can enjoy a new and attractive service at Vienna Airport,” said Julian Jäger, Vienna Airport board member.

Featuring its own departure information board, the Exclusive Waiting Area offers newspapers and magazines, hot and cold beverages and current news broadcasts. In addition, 37 leather armchairs designed by Walter Knoll have been added to the lounge. Power points for charging and connecting electronic devices are also available in the space.

Members in the topbonus frequent flyer program with Silver, Gold or Platinum status, and guests of the airberlin group with a flight booked as a FlyFlex fare or with a Business Class ticket for a connecting flight, can use the Priority Check-in desks at Vienna. The airport also offers a Security Fast Lane for eligible customers.

Located at Pier West, the Exclusive Waiting Area is available to all airberlin topbonus members with Silver, Gold or Platinum status. An ‘Exclusive Parking Area’ with reserved parking spaces is also available at the airport on level 0 of car park P3.
