LIFT by EnCore secures seat launch customers

By Rick Lundstrom

The LIFT by Encore seats were designed for the 737 Sky Interior.

LIFT by EnCore, a commercial aircraft-seating manufacturer, has secured orders from its first two customers for its Tourist Class Seating in 737s.

The initial orders from 737 customers, who have yet to be disclosed, follows the announcement this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo that LIFT has an industry-first collaboration with Boeing to provide seats that are “spatially, structurally and aesthetically designed to complement the 737 Boeing Sky Interior,” said the company.

“The combination of a great product that is designed from the ground up for the 737, and is offered directly by Boeing, is very appealing,” said Elijah Dobrusin, Vice President of strategy and development in today’s announcement.

“We have grown with foresight and caution,” said CEO Tom McFarland. “Our goal is not to be the biggest company, but rather a great company, as judged by our customers and employees.”

LIFT is part of the EnCore group based in Huntington Beach, CA. Founded in 2011 by Jim Downey and Tom McFarland, the EnCore group of companies serves the commercial aerospace and defense sectors with a range of products including seats, floor-to-floor interiors, galleys, monuments, and composite aircraft structures.
