Acro plans growth and development with BGF investment
BGF’s capital will be used to accelerate Acro’s product developments, with a long-range economy seat ‘Series 8’ now included in Acro’s plans. The BGF investment is the first step on Acro’s next growth phase and there will be more to come in 2016.
“We’ve worked hard to grow Acro and by investing every scrap we’ve made in our staff, products and infrastructure we have managed to double the size of the business every year for the past four years,” said Chris Brady, Chief Executive at Acro. “But we still have ambitious plans. Our partnership with BGF will allow us to bring those plans to life, which is hugely exciting.”
In 2015 Acro delivered more than 25,000 seats including more than 120 aircraft in North America alone flying for Spirit, Frontier, Hawaiian and Allegiant. Its new economy seat ‘Series 6’, provides more legroom and in addition is 15% lighter than current generation seats. It is available in both fixed back and reclining versions.
Acro’s new Premium Economy seat, ‘Series 7’, is inspired by the 20th century furniture design. It can be offered as Business/First Class on narrow-body aircraft and as a Premium Economy Class seat on wide-body installations.
