Cathay Pacific brings aboard popular Cantonese programming

The new TVB drama series was added to Cathay Pacific's programming this month



Cathay Pacific is now showing a popular Cantonese television drama series onboard.

The series is produced by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). The TVB series will add new drama programing each month to the airline’s inflight entertainment library on aircraft equipped with StudioCXAudio and Video on Demand system (AVOD).

The first title being introduced is one of the biggest TVB hits of 2012 - Tiger Cubs. Passengers will be able to view episodes 1 to 4 in January.

“As Hong Kong’s home carrier, Cathay Pacific supports local culture and entertainment production,” said Cathay Pacific General Manager Product Toby Smith. “The introduction of the TVB drama series also reinforces our commitment to offering the highest quality onboard entertainment for our passengers.”

StudioCX features more than 100 Hollywood blockbuster and Asian Hit movies, more than 500 Western and Asian TV programs, 888 music CDs, 22 radio channels, and programs in nine languages – in all classes.
