gategroup renews American Airlines catering and provisioning pact
gategroup Holding AG announced today it has reached agreement with American Airlines for the extension its catering and provisioning business.
Total revenue over the life of the extension is estimated to exceed CHF100 million (US$100 million), a sizeable portion of gategroup’s global business with the airline. American Airlines is one of gategroup’s top three customers in North America.
The agreement covers multiple domestic and international gateway locations, including a two-year extension of business at American Airlines’ Los Angeles hub. It also entails an extension of business at several Canadian locations and the renewal of American Eagle business at Dallas Fort Worth, with varying expiration dates. In addition, gategroup has been awarded business at several U.S. locations integral to the airline’s harmonization.

Two of the top three contracts in North America have been renewed in the last few months, significantly enhancing our core business.
