TEAC delivers portable IFE server to AIRDO

TEAC's PortaStream/PS-V50 wireless IFE platform
TEAC has confirmed it has supplied its in-flight entertainment server, PortaStream/PS-V50 to Japanese regional airline, AIRDO, following the launch of the airline’s IFE service, Do Sky On-Demand, in April 2023.
The PS-V50 is a portable IFE streaming server with a built-in battery and wireless LAN access point. Crew can simply place it in the overhead bin on board the aircraft and deliver digital content such as videos, music, e-books, and flight maps to passenger’s tablets and smartphones. As no aircraft modifications are required, it is an easily deployable IFE equipment system for airlines that does not require STC (Supplemental Type Certificate).
One of PortaStream's key features is its user-friendly content management system. In-flight entertainment content and local information about the destinations for on-board distribution are uploaded to the cloud server after being converted into the appropriate PSV format. Once the content delivery is complete on the cloud server, it is synchronized with the PortaStream. By utilizing a cloud server, the system enables easy content editing and management.
