IFPL launches new power product

The new solution allows passengers to charge a variety of different personal electronic devices
IFPL has launched a new product capable of delivering up to 60W of in-seat charging power to passengers.
The new USB-A & USB-C Combination Module will give passengers the ability to efficiently charge their portable electronic devices like mobile phones, tablets, and laptops with up to 60W of power.
This power module allows operators to simultaneously offer both up to 60W from a type-C and 10W from a type-A USB port, from just one product. Delivering a power solution designed to provide airlines with a simple, low-cost upgrade path, the USB-A & USB-C Combination Module supports both legacy and current passenger charging requirements, rather than forcing operators to choose between the two.
Each port in the USB-A & USB-C Combination Module incorporates a IFPL’s patented cartridge design for quick and easy on-wing replacement. The product also includes the company’s unique reversible USB-A port which allows passengers to insert a USB-A cable the correct way every time, minimising user damage and frustration.
