SEKISUI KYDEX has announced Marty Miller as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective November 1.

Miller joined SEKISUI KYDEX more than three years ago as the Senior VP of Operations, bringing 30+ years of manufacturing experience to the organization. During this time, he has overseen IT and Automation, Innovation and Production across three campuses, while also leading Supply Chain, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Continuous Improvement, and Maintenance. Prior to joining SEKISUI KYDEX, Miller served as Chief Operating Officer at Accupac in Mainland, Pennsylvania, providing him with extensive experience in operational leadership and organizational improvement.

Miller has spent his career helping teams and individuals identify and resolve the real issues they face, making improvements that simplify tasks, eliminate wasted effort, and ultimately make the job more satisfying and more profitable. When Miller first joined SEKISUI KYDEX, he shared a leadership philosophy that continues to guide his approach today: “Recognizing the value that every team member brings to the job every day and tapping into their unique capabilities and insight unleashes an amazing force for improvement.”

Additionally, Yoshio Aoshima, Executive Officer of SEKISUI High Performance Plastics Company and the head of the Mobility business, will become Chief Executive Officer, providing strategic leadership for SEKISUI KYDEX from Japan.

The current President and CEO, Yoritaka “Taka” Yamauchi, has accepted a new assignment within the SEKISUI Chemical Group. As part of SEKISUI Chemical’s longstanding approach to leadership development, employees may serve in different roles and businesses across the organization throughout their careers. Taka’s new assignment reflects this practice and the Group’s commitment to developing leaders with broad experience across their businesses. He will continue supporting SEKISUI KYDEX to help ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition.

Since becoming President and CEO in 2022, Yamauchi has led SEKISUI KYDEX through a period of recovery, renewal and transformation, the October 13 press release said. His steady leadership was especially important as the business emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic and navigated supply chain disruption, labor constraints, inflationary pressure, and rapidly changing customer needs.

Miller said, “Taka has led SEKISUI KYDEX with purpose, care and a steady commitment to our shared mission, vision, and values. I am honored to continue that journey and excited for what we can accomplish together as we stay focused, execute with discipline and keep strengthening the connection between our people, our customers and our future.”
