Thales and Ethiopian Airlines celebrate in Addis Ababa 

Thales and Ethiopian Airlines celebrated multiple milestones last week in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with teams gathering to commemorate Ethiopian’s first A350-1000 flying with Thales' AVANT Up IFE system, as well as the opening of Thales’ FlytCare station in Addis Ababa.

“Thales continues to strengthen its position within the region and build on its long-standing partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, the leading Airline and MRO in Africa,” the company said via LinkedIn.

Present at the opening ceremony in Addis Ababa were Retta Melaku, Chief Operating Officer, Ethiopian Airlines; Mekdes Tadele, Director of Procurement and Supply Chain, Ethiopian Airlines; and Daniel Demeke, Managing Director, Ethiopian Airlines. Shiv Spaak, Thales Aviation Global Services General Manager for Middle East & Africa was also present at the celebration with the Thales team.
