Moment acquires Airfree, enhancing offering for inflight services
Moment announced last month the acquisition of inflight e-commerce expert Airfree. Exhibiting this week in Singapore at the FTE APEX Asia Expo, Loris Cella, Digital Project Manager, Moment tells PAX Tech the acquisition is a strategic step that marks a new stage in Moment's onboard deployment. Cella says the move confirms the company's ambition to transform the passenger experience and develop innovative solutions for the industry.
Moment's range of connected services is designed to meet the growing expectations of passengers, while generating additional revenue for airlines. With Airfree, already adopted by leading airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Moment is able to offer an unprecedented onboard marketplace solution, connected to more than 350 duty free stores worldwide. Passengers can access a selection of products via the seat-back screens or PEDs, far beyond the items traditionally available inflight. Passengers can order securely in real-time and choose from several delivery options, whether on board, at the airport or directly to their home.
Cella says the FTE APEX Asia Expo was a success for Moment, with quality meetings and lots of face time with customers and potential customers.
