RAVE Aerospace to center open platforms and AI-powered experiences at APEX FTE EXPO

RAVE will focus on open platform innovation and AI-powered onboard experiences at Booth 313 during APEX FTE EXPO 2026 in Singapore
RAVE Aerospace will showcase its next-generation inflight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) solutions at APEX FTE EXPO 2026, taking place November 18 to 19 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. At Booth 313, the company will demonstrate how RAVE OS 2, its new Harmony user interface and integrated AI capabilities enable airlines to deliver more personalized, connected and continuously evolving passenger experiences. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore innovative applications developed in collaboration with RAVE Aerospace's technology partners.
At the center of the showcase is RAVE OS 2, the foundation of the company's next-generation onboard digital software platform. Moving beyond traditional hardware-defined entertainment systems, RAVE OS 2 introduces an open architecture that allows airlines to integrate new applications, expand digital services and enhance the passenger experience without being tied to a single hardware generation.
Combined with the new Harmony user interface, the platform provides a consistent and flexible passenger experience across multiple generations of onboard hardware. Airlines can adapt and expand their digital offerings over time, while passengers benefit from a more intuitive and personalized way to access entertainment and information during their journey.
Opening the door to faster onboard innovation
RAVE OS 2 also provides the foundation for two new digital products designed to make onboard innovation easier and more accessible. The Developer Suite offers a comprehensive software development kit (SDK) and robust APIs, enabling developers and technology partners to create and integrate applications. The App Marketplace provides a framework for bringing these applications into the onboard environment.
Together, these capabilities help airlines introduce new digital services more efficiently, respond to changing passenger expectations, and explore additional revenue opportunities.
The platform is part of the broader RAVE ecosystem, which brings together IFEC hardware, operating systems, digital solutions, and services. From advertising and mobile payments to content integration and developer enablement, the ecosystem is designed to support airlines in building connected digital experiences that evolve with their needs.
"Airlines need technology that can keep pace with changing passenger expectations and new digital opportunities. Our goal is to give them the flexibility to innovate without having to rethink their entire onboard infrastructure every time. At APEX FTE EXPO, we want to show how our open ecosystem brings together technology, applications and partnerships to make that possible, while creating new opportunities for airlines to engage passengers and generate value," said Matt Smith, CEO of RAVE Aerospace.
Bringing AI into the passenger experience
Another highlight at APEX FTE EXPO Asia will be an AI-powered search and conversational interface integrated directly into Harmony. The demonstration will show how passengers can discover entertainment, access flight information and interact with the onboard system using natural language.
Powered by the RAVE 5 onboard AI engine, the solution connects media content, flight data, and personalization services to create a more intuitive digital experience. As the platform develops, these capabilities are designed to extend to airline systems and APIs, opening further opportunities for personalized services and connected onboard applications, the November 3 press release said.
"AI opens up exciting possibilities for how passengers interact with onboard technology. Instead of navigating through menus, they can simply ask for what they want, whether that is finding a movie or accessing flight information. By integrating these capabilities directly into Harmony and building on the open architecture of RAVE OS 2, we are creating a platform that can evolve as new applications and use cases emerge," said Ben Asmar, Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Corporate Development at RAVE Aerospace.
Rather than treating artificial intelligence as a standalone feature, RAVE Aerospace is demonstrating how AI can become an integrated part of the passenger journey, the press release emphasized.
Innovation through collaboration
Alongside its own platform developments, RAVE Aerospace will present collaborative demonstrations with technology partners at APEX FTE EXPO in Singapore. These demonstrations will explore how complementary technologies and applications can be integrated into the RAVE ecosystem to address airline requirements and create new passenger experiences.
By combining an open platform with a collaborative development approach, RAVE Aerospace aims to help airlines bring new capabilities onboard faster, adapt their digital offerings and create additional value from their IFEC investments.
