Singapore Airlines' next-generation KrisWorld inflight entertainment system features a redesigned interface with improved navigation and personalized entertainment options

Singapore Airlines is enhancing its KrisWorld inflight entertainment system with upgraded displays, spatial audio technology, personalized content and new digital wellness features.

The next-generation system will feature 32-inch 4K touchscreens in First Class and displays of up to 22 inches in Business Class. On the 777-9, Premium Economy passengers will have access to screens of up to 16 inches, while Economy Class displays will measure up to 13 inches. OLED screens will also be available on select aircraft.

Spatial audio technology will provide a more immersive listening experience, while First Class passengers will receive Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation. Passengers will also be able to connect their own compatible Bluetooth headphones to KrisWorld.

The upgraded system introduces a redesigned user interface with larger icons, improved search functions and a mini-player that allows passengers to continue watching content while browsing other entertainment options.

A new sidebar will display real-time flight information, including weather conditions and time to destination, without interrupting playback.

Younger passengers will have access to a dedicated Kids' Mode, offering age-appropriate movies, television shows and music through a simplified interface.

KrisWorld will continue to offer more than 2,500 entertainment options, including content from Apple TV, BBC, HBO Max, iQIYI and Paramount+, alongside live news and sports programming.

The system will also introduce greater personalization through KrisFlyer integration, allowing passengers to receive tailored recommendations, save favourite titles and resume programs across flights.

On retrofitted A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft, along with the 777-9, First Class and Business Class passengers will be able to save preferred seat positions for future flights. First Class passengers will also be able to store their lighting preferences.

A new wellness planner will offer guided meditation, breathing exercises, light stretching videos and recommendations designed to improve comfort on long-haul journeys.

Expanding high-speed connectivity

Alongside the IFE upgrades, SIA plans to introduce Starlink's low Earth orbit satellite connectivity on its A380, A350-900 long-haul and A350-900ULR aircraft beginning in early 2027.

The service will provide faster connectivity from take-off to landing, allowing passengers to stream content, communicate and work using their personal devices.

Complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi will remain available to Suites, First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as PPS Club and KrisFlyer members travelling in Premium Economy and Economy on Starlink-enabled aircraft.

The airline is also introducing USB-C charging ports on its 777-9 and retrofitted A350 long-haul aircraft, alongside wireless charging pads in First Class and Business Class.

Together, the enhancements form part of SIA's efforts to deliver a more connected, personalized and immersive passenger experience.
