Moment partners with SCAT Airlines to deliver wireless IFE across fleet

Moment has partnered with SCAT Airlines to deploy a wireless inflight entertainment solution across the Kazakhstan-based carrier’s fleet, marking a milestone in its expansion into Central Asia.

Signed March 4, the agreement will see Moment provide a fully customized, turnkey digital passenger experience platform designed to enhance the onboard journey while giving the airline control over its content, services and onboard ecosystem.

At the core of the rollout is Moment’s Flymingo Box, now installed across SCAT Airlines’ aircraft. The compact, autonomous system enables passengers to access entertainment and digital services directly on their personal devices through a wireless onboard network.

In addition to hardware deployment, Moment will serve as SCAT Airlines’ content service provider, delivering a regularly refreshed entertainment catalog tailored to an international passenger base.

The partnership also supports SCAT Airlines’ broader digital strategy, with plans to introduce onboard commerce capabilities that will allow passengers to place orders directly from their seats using personal devices. By integrating entertainment, services and retail into a single platform, the airline aims to strengthen passenger satisfaction while unlocking ancillary revenue opportunities.

“This partnership is part of our broader commitment to continuously improve the onboard experience for our passengers while supporting the modernization of our fleet,” said Vladimir Sytnik, Vice President of SCAT Airlines, in a statement released May 4. “We were looking for a flexible and reliable solution that could be deployed efficiently across our aircraft, and Moment stood out as the right partner to meet these requirements.”

Tanguy Morel, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Moment, said the agreement reflects the company’s growing footprint in emerging markets.

Moment says the Flymingo Box solution is particularly suited to fast-growing airlines seeking to introduce IFE quickly, offering a scalable platform that combines ease of deployment with operational flexibility.
