FlightPath3D announces Qatar Airways as launch customer for Kids Map v2

FlightPath3D announced this week that Qatar Airways has become the first airline to deploy the Kids Map v2, the next generation of inflight infotainment for children. The map provides an updated blend of flight tracking and entertainment for younger passengers and builds on a decade of successful Kids Map deployments by the company.

The updated offering entertains young travellers with new games that help them engage and explore inflight.

“At FlightPath3D we’re driven to inspire the next generation of travellers, and we’re excited for the latest version of our junior-sized 3D Flight Tracker to take flight with Qatar Airways as the launch customer!” FlightPath3D said via LinkedIn. “Whether through games tied to the journey or learning kid-centric facts about what they’re flying over, we’re blending gamification with data and discovery to make every trip more interesting and informative for younger passengers.”

Features of the interactive Kids Map include learning about the world’s animals through shape-based quizzes, playing with 360° interactions of animals after they guess correctly, learning about key points of interest in global cities with scenic images in a jigsaw puzzle and expanding geographical knowledge of the world’s flags.

Xia Cai, SVP Product Development at Qatar Airways, expressed enthusiasm for the airline being the launch customer for this product.

“At Qatar Airways, we seek to enhance the travel experience of passengers from all ages. We also want to ensure that flying is as enjoyable for children as it is for adults,” said Cai. “Being the first-to-market for FlightPath3D's newest Kids Map is a testament to our commitment in being an industry leader across all service points. With this new addition, we are confident that exploring the world onboard Qatar Airways will now be more fun and engaging than ever for our young travellers.”
