Emirates curates "award-winning" IFE selection
Emirates has announced that starting this month, passengers will be able to experience modern movie magic on its IFE system, ice, with recent award-winning films.
The recently launched “Award Winners” collection features the film industry’s top productions including the multi-award-winning film from Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer starring Cillian Murphy. The film is the winner of 7 BAFTA awards, 5 Golden Globes, 8 Critics Choice Awards and has 13 Academy Award® nominations ahead of the ceremony on March 10.
Golden Globe winner Killers of the Flower Moon, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone also scored a large number of onominations this year including 10 Academy Award® Nominations and is now available on ice. More of 2024’s top award-winning movies on ice include Korean romantic drama Past Lives, legal drama Anatomy of a Fall and box office success Barbie; all of these films are nominated for Best Picture at the 96th annual Academy Awards®.
Tee selection also features some recent award-winning animated movies on ice, such as The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Elemental.
In the category of award-winning action, ice features science fiction action movie The Creator, thriller The Burial, and the biographical drama BlackBerry.
Music lovers can now watch several catchy award-winners available on ice including Little Richard: I Am Everything, A Haunting in Venice, and Flora and Son. ice will also feature Dream Scenario – a black comedy and fantasy film starring Nicolas Cage. Passengers can watch Priscilla, Sofia Coppola's biographical drama about the wife of Elvis Presley.
ice also has more than 100 documentaries to choose from, including Brazilian documentary film Retratos Fantasmas, or the American documentary film After the Bite.
Passengers who want to watch the latest in award-winning entertainment can take advantage of these offerings starting this month on Emirates’ ice selection. ice offers more than 6,500 channels of on demand movies, TV shows, music, podcasts and live TV.
