New collaboration redefines IFE services
The collaboration between West Entertainment and CineSend will improve the delivery and efficiency of IFE services
Content Service Provider (CSP), West Entertainment Inflight Entertainment and CineSend, a software and services company have agreed a strategic partnership.
The collaboration will enable West Entertainment to redefine their IFE Lab Services and CineSend to gain sales support for their various services including CineSend’s airline lounge content product.
Having recently made a successful foray into the IFE sector with Air Canada as its launch customer, CineSend is set to further its reach in the sector with this new partnership.
West has adopted CineSend's technology to automate the encoding and delivery of IFE video and audio assets. The adoption of this platform by West provides the company with a path to move away from traditional on-premises lab operations. By embracing CineSend's cloud-centric technology, West is set to increase its service efficiency, scalability, and redundancy.

Warren further states, “Additionally, West Entertainment’s airline and studio relationships will benefit CineSend in its efforts to bring several of their advanced technology products to market. We see this relationship as truly synergistic.”
CineSend's platform brings a novel, hybrid-cloud approach to the IFE space, providing flexible deployment options and enhancing the delivery of media content from studios to integrators. The company's solutions are used extensively by studios and top M&E brands for pre-release and theatrical distribution.
The partnership takes effect immediately, setting a promising outlook for the evolution of IFE content delivery industry wide.
