Porter Airlines picks West Entertainment as content provider

Porter’s recently delivered 195-E2s will offer content from West Entertainment

Porter Airlines has selected West Entertainment (West) as its inflight entertainment Content Service Provider (CSP).

Under the agreement, West will provide content provision on Porter’s 195-E2 fleet equipped with Viasat’s Wireless Streaming system, from February 1 of this year.

The entertainment catalogue will include both Hollywood and Canadian content, from the latest films, classic movies, and top-ranking TV shows, including the latest boxsets, trending TV series, children’s programs and thought-provoking documentaries. Passengers can also check out Mr. Porter’s Picks which highlight a selection of favourites.

Additionally, West Entertainment will manage curated programming, acquisitions, digital encoding and AVOD management requirements.

In a January 17 press statement, Kevin Jackson, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Porter Airlines said: “We’re excited about our partnership with West. After a thorough evaluation process, we found a trusted partner who understands our brand and our requirements while developing innovative content services. Their focus on quality and service align with our own values.”
