IMG's Sport 24 announced a deal with Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) today to broadcast the FIFA World Cup Qatar onboard flights and cruise ships.

More than 125 hours of live coverage will be available on Sport 24 and IMG’s secondary channel Sport 24 Extra. “In addition to the live broadcast of all 64 matches of the tournament, these channels will also air multiple repeat matches and highlight shows, on airlines and cruise ships across the world,” the press release said.

“We are delighted to partner with FIFA to ensure that passengers don’t miss out on live action, even while traveling,” Richard Wise, SVP, Content and Channels for IMG’s media business said.

Sport 24 is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. It and Sport 24 Extra are produced from IMG’s production HQ at Stockley Park, near London’s Heathrow Airport and show live action from the Premier League, NBA, tennis Grand Slams and more.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18 this year.
