Moment to supply Air Cairo fleet with IFE
France-based Moment announced today it would supply Air Cairo with the company’s Flymingo box wireless inflight entertainment.
Air Cairo operates seven aircraft: A320-200 and A320-ceo and neo, and will add three more to its fleet by the end of the year. The airline flies to 30 destinations in the Middle East and Europe.
The capacity to provide a global IFE service was a determining factor for Air Cairo. “We were on the lookout for a full-service IFE company that could support us in all aspects from provisioning the hardware, to creating an engaging IFE portal and sourcing a variety of content,” said Hussein Sherif, Chairman and CEO at Air Cairo in today’s announcement.
With a capacity to handle 100 simultaneous streaming sessions, Moment’s Flymingo Box is a seamless, multi-DRM and browser-based platform. It gives passengers the opportunity to choose entertainment programs from an international and Arabic catalog of films, documentaries or podcasts.
