ThinKom's Ka2517 terminal enables multi-orbit connectivity, supporting NSG's growth in the IFC market
ThinKom’s ThinAir Ka2517 terminal is now available as a line-fit option on the full range of Boeing commercial aircraft. The companies successfully completed implementation of a Technical Services Agreement earlier this year.
Achieving this milestone demonstrates the maturity of the Ka2517 offering, as well as the ability for ThinKom to reliably deliver the hardware to Boeing without placing aircraft production timelines at risk.
“Support for multi-constellation, multi-orbit communications is table stakes for airlines today,” Jeff Sare, ThinKom’s Chief Commercial Officer - IFC, tells PAX Tech. “Our ThinAir product line is the perfect solution for airlines that want superior connectivity for passengers, while maintaining flexibility and control over their installed hardware and services. We are immensely excited to now have it offerable as a factory-installed option across all Boeing types.”
The solution can be selected by airlines today for integration into pending aircraft deliveries. This includes support of Neo Space Group in the fitting of new 787s for Thai Airways.
