Korean Air's Viasat-equipped aircraft enters service

Korean Air’s Viasat-equipped 787 aircraft has entered commercial service. With Viasat’s inflight connectivity installed on these aircraft, Korean Air passengers can browse the internet, enjoy social media, shop online, work and more while onboard.

In Viasat’s 2023 Passenger Experience Survey, 81 percent of passengers in South Korea said that quality inflight Wi-Fi would make them more likely to rebook with an airline. This comes as 80 percent said being connected to Wi-Fi during a flight is “important” to them.

Korean Air plans to equip a total of 70 aircraft, including 30 A321neos and 40 787s with Viasat’s connectivity solution. All aircraft are scheduled to enter service by the end of 2027.
