Qatar Airways to introduce complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi onboard

Three of Qatar Airways’ 777-300 aircraft are set to receive Starlink Wi-Fi connectivity by the fourth quarter of this year, with the entire modern fleet receiving the upgrade to this technology over the next two years, the May 29 press release said.

Passengers can access complimentary ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi of up to 500 Megabit per second, enabling them to stream entertainment and sports videos, online gaming and more

The announcement took place at the Aircraft Interior Expo in Hamburg, Germany, in the presence of Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, and Mr. Mike Nicolls, Vice President of Starlink Engineering at SpaceX.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. This agreement marks the first-ever service of its kind in the MENA region.
