Touch Inflight Solutions partners with castLabs, 101media and Rosen Aviation
Touch Inflight Solutions, castLabs, 1o1media and Rosen Aviation have announced a collaboration designed to transform the inflight entertainment (IFE) experience. This partnership focuses on developing a flexible and modular IFE platform that leverages advanced technologies and comprehensive integration to meet the diverse needs of modern airlines and passengers, the press release said.
Rosen Aviation and castLabs are enabling a web-based platform powered by PRESTOplay that delivers premium content playback in HDR quality on Rosen Aviation’s screens. This collaboration delivers compatibility with any browser-based entertainment system, for seamless content streaming within the aircraft or via connectivity from the ground.
For its role in the collaboration, 1to1media will integrate its standalone entertainment system onto Rosen's compute platform. This integration allows for consistent content delivery and quick updates through the Above content supply chain platform. This approach means there is no need to maintain separate systems.
Touch will integrate its Touch Media Center (TMC) system into the collaboration, providing flexible licensing terms to operators. Collaboration with edge caching providers will allow the implementation of media caching on onboard servers to optimize bandwidth for a seamless user experience.
