Pegasus Airlines updates connectivity hardware with Immfly Group

By Stephanie Philp

Since July 2022, Immfly Group installed the Equilux Aero LUX-1 hardware on 33 aircraft in the Pegasus Airlines fleet

Immfly Group, the company that provides wireless inflight entertainment (WIFE) services to Pegasus Airlines’ passengers, announced that it will install its state-of-the-art Equilux Aero (LUX-1) hardware solution across the European low-cost carrier’s entire fleet.

The lightweight and platform-agnostic Equilux Aero LUX-1 hardware is cost-effective and allows “for a quick and minimally invasive installation,” an April 12 release said. During installation, two units are installed per cabin to ensure a backup option if needed.

The solution is “scalable and connectivity-ready,” the release said, “giving airlines the possibility of moving easily from offering WIFE to High-Speed Connectivity, should they decide to do so at any time in the future.”

Since July 2022, Immfly Group installed the Equilux Aero LUX-1 hardware on 33 aircraft in the Pegasus Airlines fleet. “The whole process was completed smoothly and within the expected time frame, with the first flights equipped with the Equilux Aero hardware being a major success and showing over 99.99 percent of system availability,” the release said.

Pegasus Airlines plans to continue the program with installations on four additional aircraft per month until the entire fleet is equipped with the system.
