Former footballer Steven Gerrard to launch water brand at WTCE

Steven Gerrard is positioning Angel Revive as a player in the inflight beverage landscape

Angel Revive, a new brand of bottled water created by former Liverpool footballer and current academy coach Steven Gerrard, will be officially launched at next week's World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo.

The premium water, bottled in square packaging for spill-free serving in flight, contains natural electrolytes and is 8.2 on the alkaline scale. According to an April 4 press release, these properties "help rejuvenate the skin and increase metabolism to combat the natural dehydrating effects to the body when flying."

In the future, the company plans to extend its portfolio to include face wipes and soluble rehydration tablets.

David Sharp, Managing Director of DS Partnerships, a group that introduces brands into the aviation sector with co-partner Blue Napki, said in a statement: “The water sells itself with its natural credentials, making it ideal for sale on board.

“We have chosen to officially launch the brand at WTCE 2018 for its great routes into aviation, rail and cruise lines. It is the only show where everyone in the travel business truly comes together and is in everyone’s calendar, which makes it the perfect show to introduce Angel Revive.”

Samples of the water will be given away at WTCE Hamburg and Gerrard will be available to answer questions at the event on April 12 between 12 and 2:30 p.m in Hall A3. To secure a meeting with Gerrard, contact david@bluenapkin.net.
