APEX/IFSA EXPO 2020 in-person event canceled
The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) and International Flight Services Association (IFSA) announced today that the San Diego Convention Center has informed both associations that it "will not be able to host the 2020 APEX/IFSA EXPO."
According to the statement, which is the same on both association websites, APEX and IFSA are working through a number of activities, including official written notifications, hotel and vendor releases and legal review. The associations list the action plan as the following:
- Members have been requested to complete a survey regarding a possible virtual event where they will share feedback on key conference components
- Staff is developing an action plan based on a combination of member feedback and APEX/IFSA Board of Directors approval
- Communications will be sent the week of July 13 with more details about plans for APEX and IFSA member exhibitors and sponsors
The statement continues: "APEX and IFSA is dedicated to offer programs that meet the needs of our members, help position our industry's recovery and continue forward with the thought leadership needed to advance our world."
