By Rick Lundstrom

Flying Food Group’s San Francisco unit (SFO) is now catering Air India’s new direct flight linking US tech hub San Francisco with Bengaluru (BLR) — India’s major tech hub.

The 16 hour, 40-minute flight launched January 9 and is Air India’s longest direct flight. The inaugural flight was piloted by a team of four female flight captains.

Flying Food Group also caters Air India flights at Chicago, Newark and Washington D.C.

The new route features authentic Indian cuisine created in Flying Food Group’s new San Francisco kitchen. Air India has been a Flying Food Group customer since 1989, said Nicolas Rondeau, Flying Food Group Executive Vice-President, Airline Sales and Marketing.
