Malaysia Airlines celebrates Chinese New Year with traditional dishes
To commemorate the festive season, Malaysia Airlines is offering traditional Chinese New Year dishes from February 15 to 17 on flights out of Kuala Lumpur to China, Hong Kong, Taipei and London. The classic meals include traditional Yee Sang (also known as Prosperity Toss or Prosperity Toss Salad), steamed garoupa fish with dried scallop sauce, and stir-fried lotus root with mixed vegetables.
Malaysia Airlines also recently released their annual lunar New Year video, titled "Tradition is at the heart of Malaysian Hospitality."
“Chinese New Year is a time of joyous festivities and celebration," explained Malaysia Airlines’ Group Chief Executive Officer, Izham Ismail, in a statement announcing the video and latest food selections. "As Malaysians, we celebrate the diversity of our people and this is reflected in our values as a nation. These shared values of love, respect, warmth and compassion are what makes us unique and brings fond memories of Malaysia and the people. This is the nation’s greatest asset which we aim to highlight in this year’s Chinese New Year video.”
