Turkish Airlines boards sustainable toys for kids
Beginning this month, Turkish Airlines, will revamp its selection of inflight toys introducing a line made from all-natural materials.
“The revamp is in line with the airline’s recognition of the possible harmful effects of plastic on both children and the environment, and its commitment to making every aspect of its operation consistent with its goal of sustainable development and eco-friendly operations,” said a release from the airline.
The new toys, are created from cotton and the wooden parts and are manufactured according to the sustainability rules set by the Forest Stewardship Council. The toys provide young travelers between ages three and 12 with additional inflight entertainment, while simultaneously introducing them to the concept of endangered species and increasing wildlife awareness.
