Lufthansa Technik licenses Iacobucci for VIP seating

Lufthansa Technik and Iacobucci HF Aerospace have formed an agreement to integrate the »chair« family of aviation seating into Iacobucci´s cabin seating portfolio. Iacobucci will build and distribute the product to VIP and commercial aircraft customers, with work already under way for an undisclosed launch customer.
Andrew Muirhead, Vice President Product Division Original Equipment Innovation at Lufthansa Technik, said in a statement: "For a successful establishment of »chair«, the supply chain needed to be optimized. Iacobucci turned out to be the best partner for a fast and robust implementation and we are looking forward to seeing the first »chair« finally being handed over to a customer."

The design is 9g and 16g ETSO-certified (European Technical Standard Order), can be installation in any narrow-body or wide-body aircraft cabin and was inspired by the design of the renowned studio PIERREJEAN.
The new design can be viewed in Lufthansa Technik's booth at the 2019 European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva from May 21 to 23, stand #H71.
