Bucher to unveil new innovations at AIX Hamburg

By Rachel Debling

Aircraft interior solutions company Bucher plans to showcase several new products as well as improvements to some of their current catalog offerings at the 2018 AIX event in Hamburg, Germany.

One such product is a space-saving galley/front row monument combination which brings together passenger comfort and the functionality necessary for catering. According to a press release from the company, the galley has been optimized for additional storage space, building on its reputation for being lightweight with a reliable design. Pairing the galley with the SkyDrinx coffee and beverage dispenser also turns it into a self-serve bar unit.

Bucher will also demonstrate a new way of storing and handling refrigerated food as part of this exhibit. The company notes that this solution is both energy and space efficient and will help to reduce the cost associated with an airline's catering processes.

Inflight entertainment and tray table deployment systems suitable for application in the premium seating found in First and Business Classes and on private jets will also be highlighted. Last, a bionic partition wall made with the latest composite materials resulting in a weight reduction of at least 40% compared to other products on the market will make an appearance at the Bucher booth.
