One look at the new JAL lounge design at Sapporo

Japan Airlines will be opening its Diamond Premier Lounge service at the New Chitose airport in Sapporo, Japan’s fourth largest city.

New Chitose will become the second airport with the Diamond Premier Lounge with the first being at Tokyo Haneda airport. JAL’s Sakura Lounge will also be revamped in line with the renovation of domestic terminal at New Chitose airport.

JAL will continue to expand the enhancement of the lounge service at domestic airports including Osaka’s Itami airport and Fukuoka airport. Construction on the new Diamond Premier lounge will start in November

New lounges are scheduled to open at Chitose in the summer of 2016. The location will be changed from the second floor to the third floor in the domestic terminal. Under the concept of “Japan’s appearance,” new lounges incorporate Japanese elements to the design.

Priority check-in counters and security inspections will be renewed for JAL First Class customers, JMB Diamond members and JGC Premier members.

The renovation will begin in early November. Sakura Lounge and some facilities will not be available for service during the renovation period.
