The new Sakura Lounge at Kansai can seat up to 177 people

Japan Airlines last week opened its new Sakura lounge for passengers on international flights from Osaka (Kansai) Airport.

Located near Gate 37, and designed in what the airline calls “modern Japanese style” the lounge will accommodate JAL passengers for seven daily flights between Osaka (Kansai) and Honolulu, Bangkok, Shanghai and Taipei and Los Angeles.

The new Sakura lounge seats up to 177 people and has a smoking room, two massage chairs along with baggage storage with locks and a spacious dining area.

Enhanced food offerings include domestic beef curry developed with a chef of Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport, a salad bar and special dishes cooked at a Halal-certified kitchen that are available during the dinner hour.
