Run off some pancakes in Alaska Airlines lounges

By Rick Lundstrom

The pancake making machine is in four lounges of Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines is touting its newest feature in its Board Room lounges, a pancake making machine that resembles an office printer.

There’s no lingering inky flavor to these cakes. The airline says they are made with fresh, healthy, all natural ingredients.

The machine was invented by a man name Marek Szymanski. He developed a number of prototypes between 2000 and 2004. Now, there are approximately 7,000 in use around the world. There’s one in each of Alaska Airlines’ four Board Room locations, in Seattle, Anchorage, Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon.

Alaska Airlines is welcoming people to come in and try a stack with an offer for $10 off a Board Room day pass through the end of August.
