New concessions open at Mineta San Jose International Airport

By Tanya Filippelli

San Jose International Airport (SJC) has opened two new concessions in Terminal A for passengers flying out of Gates 1-8 on Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue flights.

Access Point is a tech-themed lounge serving premium spirits, wine, tap and bottled beers as well as grab-and-go salads, sandwiches and drinks. Sunset News is a newsstand inspired by Sunset magazine, which focuses on cooking, traveling and gardening, with news, print material and amenities.

"The spring and summer seasons have brought more destinations and added frequencies to the places Silicon Valley travelers want to go, creating more demand for concessions in our terminals," said director of aviation Kim Becker Aguirre. "We're pleased to bring more convenience and choices for Delta, Hawaiian and JetBlue passengers traveling through gates 1 through 8."

Access Point is a brand new concept created for SJC by HMSHost while the reopened Sunset News is operated by World Duty Free Group North America.

SJC will add more concessions in Terminal A later this summer to serve its growing passenger activity. Einstein Bros. Bagels, Red Mango Yogurt & Smoothies and Sip Savvy, operated by Pacific Gateway Concessions, will soon open opposite gates 10 and 11 which are centrally located to serve all Terminal A travelers.
