Aer Lingus offers prior-evening baggage check at DUB

By Hibah Noor

Passengers on Aer Lingus can now can now check their baggage at Dublin Airport the evening before their flight, a move the airline said will help families and those traveling with young children.

Passengers can go to the airport between 16:00 and 20:00 the evening before they travel to check baggage for flights between 06:00 and 08:00 the following morning.

Only one immediate family member needs to check-in for an entire family group, once all tickets, passports and bags are provided together. For individual passengers traveling alone they can arrive for evening check-in with their ticket, passport and baggage.

After using evening check-in customers can by-pass the busy morning queues at check-in and make their way through security screening and straight on to their boarding gates. Flights with early morning departures include popular European destinations, including Malaga, Faro, London and Paris.

“This is an excellent option for customers who are staying overnight in hotels close-by Dublin Airport and for customers living in the surrounding North County Dublin area,” said Aer Lingus Director of Communications Declan Kearney. “It will particularly appeal to customers traveling with families and young children as it makes for a stress-free start to the holiday.”
