YO! Sushi to open restaurant at Heathrow's new Terminal 2

By Tanya Filippelli

Heathrow's new Terminal 2 will include a YO! Sushi Japanese restaurant that will allow passengers to pre-order their food online to ensure their order will be ready upon their arrival.

Also available for dining in, the outlet will offer ‘quirky pod seating and an innovative service designed around the unique needs of airline passengers’.  Hot food orders will be taken by the restaurant team, using a tablet to place the order directly with the kitchen.

The restaurant will showcase a range of menus to give passengers the option of a pre-flight wellness meal.

Serving up more than 80 different dishes on YO! Sushi’s signature ‘kaiten’ conveyor belt, travelers will be able to choose from a range of Japanese inspired items such as soups, rice, noodle-based dishes, sesame salmon sashimi, kaiso salad and prawn tempura.

“YO! Sushi’s work to develop an offer specific to passengers about to fly has been impressive,” said Muriel Zingraff, Heathrow's retail director.

"They have a refreshing approach to healthy eating which we felt suited Heathrow’s work to transform the dining experience for travelers," Zingraff concluded.
