Apropos has iPads ready for surfing and ordering

Toronto Pearson Airport has two new cocktail bars, both named Apropos, in the concourse of Terminal 1, which serves passengers flying into the United States.

“Brewer Brock Shepherd, master sommelier John Szabo and OTG concept chef Michael Coury have collaborated on these innovative offerings, which feature Ontario vintages and local craft beers, accompanied by creative tasting plates,” said a release from the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

Developed through a partnership with OTG, the outlets are the latest in a series of 13 chef-driven restaurants for Terminals 1 and 3. All 13 new offerings will be up and running by the end of this year.

In addition to the new dining options, guests will also have free access to Apple iPads to order food, browse the web and keep updated with flight information.

“The addition of Apropos is another wonderful example of how we are transforming Toronto Pearson into a world-class airport that is responding to our guests desire to have more variety of dining options at the airport,” said Pamela Griffith-Jones, Vice President of Guest and Terminal Services for the GTAA. “Our partnership with OTG is allowing us to introduce true culinary diversity that will help differentiate Toronto Pearson from other North American airports.”

The GTAA is the operator of Toronto Pearson International Airport, the largest airport in Canada. In 2012, Toronto Pearson handled 35 million passengers.
