NetNearU joins Wi-Fi trade group

NetNearU, a subsidiary of satellite and wireless network provider ViaSat Inc. has joined the 100-member Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA).

The aim of the group is to secure an outstanding user experience through the global deployment of next generation Wi-Fi.

“Joining the WBA furthers our ability to collaborate with our partners and customers in the industry.  In addition to this collaboration, being able to influence and benefit from shaping the future of our space will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow,” said Cody Catalena, General Manager and Vice President at NetNearU.

NetNearU provides end-to-end management of Wi-Fi networks around the world, including network design, installation, management, monitoring and monetization. The company’s cloud-based TRACKOS™ software provides automated and real-time provisioning, authentication, billing, roaming, quality of service, advertising, network monitoring, and support for public Wi-Fi and other wireless Internet access networks. With TRACKOS, is used by wireless carriers, cable operators, the U.S. military, and other customers.
