Japan Airlines has been expanding the use of the airweave® mattress and pillow in Business Class international routes and this month began adding the products to First Class international routes.

This specially designed Japan-manufactured airweave Dual Mode is also being supplied to members of the Japanese Winter Olympic team in Sochi, Russia.

Starting January 1, the airweave was available on routes from Tokyo to London, New York and Los Angeles. Soon, it will be added to the First Class cabin on routes to Chicago and Paris.

The airweave DUAL MODE was designed for First Class in JAL Sky Suite 777. It is composed of layers of air combined with a very fine fibrous resin. The mattress is made by three-dimensionally entwining and heat-bonding thin polyethylene strings. The resulting structure gives the mattress superior air permeability.
