Czech Airlines flies with electronic navigation charts from Lufthansa Systems

By Lauren Brunetti

Czech Airlines, as well as its affiliate HOLIDAYS Czech Airlines rely on the electronic navigation charts Lido/eRouteManual and Lido/iRouteManual from Lufthansa Systems. Both companies recently signed a seven-year-contract to this effect.

With the electronic chart solution Lido/eRouteManual the airline obtains navigation charts for take-off and landing as well as airport and route charts. These charts are generated directly from the Lido navigation database, which contains worldwide aeronautical information and topographical data. Czech Airlines will also use the iPad app Lido/iRouteManual. The apps deliver professional navigation charts for instrument flight rules (IFR charts) to the iPad. Updated charts will be available for download every week so pilots can always access the latest updates before their briefings.

Czech Airlines, founded in 1923, is the national carrier of the Czech Republic based in Prague. With a fleet of 24 planes the airline operates 45 destinations in Europe, Near- and Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asia. Since 2011 Czech Airlines is member of the SkyTeam alliance.
