BA and Tourvest prepare pre-order program for holiday shopping

British Airways is working with Tourvest Duty Free on a ‘buy-before-you-fly’ service for long-haul passengers.
The service allows for passengers who have purchased duty free goods the convenience of having the products delivered direct their seat they fly on selected routes.
British Airways passengers will be able to pre-order from an assortment of products, including high street brands and travel exclusives, at highlifeshop.com.
“This will be welcome news to a number of travelers (17%) that accidentally leave presents at home,” said a release from British Airways. British Airways research reveals that nearly a third (32%) of customers saying that they would consider buying their Christmas gifts on board flights.
Peter O’Shea, British Airways On-board Retail Executive, said: “Our new pre-order service is a convenient and hassle-free way for customers to choose from a wide range of top brands, travel exclusives and tax-free purchases. It also means less to carry in their luggage.”
The selection of gifts include; accessories, apparel, souvenirs, beauty, children’s gifts, cigarettes, confectionery, fragrances, gadgets, gifts, jewelry, liquor, sunglasses, watches and writing instruments. In the run up to Christmas, the airline’s in-flight retail team have compiled their top gifts, for high flyers to buy in advance.
