For more than 30 years, Servair prepared and refined dishes for the millions of passengers who had the privilege of flying the Concorde supersonic jet while it was in service. Now, the caterer is making one more delivery, this time to a special event September 29 in Toulouse that will include an auction of the some the aircraft’s memorabilia.
Five hundred people will be part of the recreation of the Concorde service, which will be held at the Hotel des Ventes Saint-Aubin in Toulouse.
“The passengers aboard this exceptional plane had the privilege of eating the best quality noble food products, like foie gras or Brittany lobster, with menus created by the Air France Menu Committee bringing together the skills, talents and creativity of the Air France and Servair chefs,” said a release from the caterer.
The auction of Concorde collector’s items will be held September 28 to October 1. Proceeds will go towards the creation of an aeronautical park called Aeroscopia, which will open in Toulouse in 2010.
