Crystal allows mobile phone service

Following the debut its wireless Internet service in September, Crystal Cruises has launched mobile phone service in October on the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

Part of the new service is "Quiet zone" technology allows crew to select areas free from phone calling. Crystal uses a service called SeaMobile™ and guests are billed to their cell phone provider.

Crystal has also simplified its Internet pricing plan with more convenient packages that can be used throughout the entire cruise. Wi-Fi laptop access is available at the same rates as through the desktops in Crystal's Computer University@Sea. Laptops are also available for rent on board.
