Carnival Valor to host wine cruise

In December Carnival Cruise Lines will offer passengers samples of fine wines from a half dozen wineries in Italy, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and New York State.

Carnival President and CEO Bob Dickinson, a noted wine collector and connoisseur will be part of the cruise that leaves from Miami Dec. 3-10, with calls in Nassau, St. Thomas/St. John and St. Maarten on the Carnival Valor.

Georges Blanc, will prepare dishes for the trip from his "Signature Selection" menu items. There will be a welcome aboard reception and gala dinner wine tasting, along with seminars focusing on Argentinean, Australian, Italian, and New York state wines, and a question-and-answer session hosted by Dickinson.

Wines from five companies will be part of the weeklong event ZOLO, Epic Wines, Folio Fine Wine Partners, Pernod-Ricard and New York Uncorked
