Aviapartner extends Thalys agreement

Aviapartner will now supply meals for the Comfort 1 class on the Thalys high-speed train that leaves from the Brussels South station on routes to Paris, Cologne and Amsterdam.

The Brussels based caterer has been supplying meals for the train’s first class section since February of this year. The new contract will take effect next week and will mean approximately 450,000 meals per year for Aviapartner.

Aviapartner has spent the past year searching for new market segments. The caterer has added business with Asian themed party snacks for the Dehlaize chain of Belgian supermarkets.

“This major contract is an important additional step in our strategic plan to search for new markets, to compensate for the volume loss from aviation catering,” says Aviapartner's managing director of catering, Chris de Meirsman.
