Job cuts planned at Aer Lingus
Irish carrier Aer Lingus is again going through a period of job evaluations and the Irish News Limited reported October 27 that “significant job losses” would be affecting the carrier’s 3,500 person staff.
The carrier’s chief executive, Michael Halpenny said in the story that the airline is considering a number of options. Some of the areas considered for cost-saving measures include the outsourcing of its catering department and addressing the number of people employed in sales and marketing in the U.S.
